Evidence-backed fertility guidance for every stage of your journey
Understand fertility conditions, IVF treatments, success rates, and costs through medically reviewed educational content.
Understand Your Options
Explore fertility treatments explained in plain language.
From IVF and ICSI to IUI, embryo transfer, egg freezing, and donor egg protocols — every guide walks through the procedure, ideal candidates, timeline, success rates by age, and realistic costs. Reviewed by REI specialists and updated quarterly with the latest clinical evidence.
Gestational Surrogacy
A gestational carrier carries a pregnancy created through IVF using the intended parents' or donor gametes. India permits altruistic surrogacy under the Surrogacy Act 2021.
Donor Sperm
Using donated sperm for IUI or IVF when partner sperm is unavailable or carries genetic conditions. Regulated under India's ART Act 2021.
Cryopreservation
Freezing embryos and sperm using vitrification technology for future use in fertility treatment, oncofertility preservation, and family planning.
Natural Cycle & Mini-IVF
IVF with no or minimal stimulation medications — collecting 1-3 eggs naturally for a gentler, more affordable approach.
Varicocelectomy & Micro-TESE
Surgical procedures for male infertility — varicocele repair to improve sperm quality, and micro-TESE for sperm extraction in azoospermia.
Hysteroscopy
Minimally invasive procedure to examine and treat the inside of the uterus — removing polyps, fibroids, septum, or adhesions that affect fertility.
Understand Fertility Conditions
Learn about common conditions that affect fertility, explained clearly.
Age & Fertility
Natural decline in egg quality and quantity with age, with significant acceleration after 35. The most important single factor in fertility outcomes.
Hyperprolactinemia
Elevated prolactin levels that suppress ovulation and disrupt the menstrual cycle. One of the most treatable causes of infertility with medication.
Hydrosalpinx
Fluid-filled, blocked fallopian tube that can significantly reduce IVF success rates if untreated. Treatment before IVF improves outcomes.
Asherman's Syndrome
Intrauterine adhesions (scar tissue) that form inside the uterus after surgery or infection, reducing the uterine cavity and impairing fertility.
Endometrial Polyps
Benign growths on the uterine lining that can interfere with embryo implantation. Found in up to 32% of women with unexplained infertility.
Varicocele
Enlarged veins in the scrotum that raise testicular temperature, damaging sperm production. The most common treatable cause of male infertility.

"How many IVF cycles should I attempt before considering other options?"
Most REI specialists recommend evaluating outcomes after 2–3 complete cycles. Cumulative success rates improve significantly with each attempt — research shows that 3 cycles of IVF achieves a cumulative live birth rate of 50–65% in women under 38. After 3 failed cycles, a thorough re-evaluation of protocol, including PGT-A testing, is strongly advised. The decision must account for your age, embryo quality, and underlying diagnosis.
"Can women with PCOS have a successful IVF pregnancy? What are the risks?"
Yes — women with PCOS often respond very well to ovarian stimulation and can produce a higher number of eggs. The primary concern is Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome (OHSS), which occurs when the ovaries over-respond to fertility medications. With careful protocol adjustment — such as using a GnRH antagonist protocol and triggering with a GnRH agonist instead of hCG — OHSS risk is significantly reduced. Success rates for women with PCOS are comparable to or better than average when managed appropriately.
"What does a low AMH level actually mean for my chances of getting pregnant?"
AMH (Anti-Müllerian Hormone) reflects your ovarian reserve — essentially the quantity of eggs remaining in your ovaries. A low AMH indicates fewer eggs available for retrieval, but it does not determine egg quality. Many women with low AMH conceive successfully with IVF using tailored, milder stimulation protocols designed to maximize the eggs they do have. It's important not to conflate quantity with viability — even one good quality embryo can result in a healthy pregnancy.
